Zoe Leadley-meade

Educator

As an educator for over 15 years, I have a breadth of teaching and leadership experience from starting out as an English and Media studies teacher at secondary schools in London, to currently working as a University Senior Lecturer in Education. I continue to reflect on and develop my practice as an educator through engaging in study and research and have a PGCE, MA and MEd, alongside publications on inclusive education practice .

Drawing on my knowledge and experience, I hold space for organisations to reflect on their education programmes and consider ways that they can develop their practice and provision to facilitate inclusive learning communities.

Mentor

As a mentor, I offer my lived experience as my expertise. I share the lessons that I have learnt through the cycles of evolution. I share the processes, practices and resources that hold me, as a way to ignite your own reflection and exploration.

I have been on my own journey of reconnecting to my intuitive self through exploration of embodied practices based in varied lineages. Reconnecting to my body, learning to listen to, and feel into what my body needs and desires has helped me to make significant internal and external shifts in my life.

Poet

I write poetry through the experience of my queer body as a way to reconnect to the parts that are forgotten or have been silenced in the past.  I share my poetry through a range of mediums including zines, film and live performance.

Reconnecting to poetry has helped me to heal through the most difficult times in my life, and now it is at the heart of my self-care practices. I reclaim my poetry as a way to explore, process and express my deepest thoughts and feelings.  Sharing my poetry opens up new ways to connect with others, which brings me joy and the courage to speak my truth.
